Chianti Villages: Castellina

Updated: Jan 4

Castellina in Chianti is a gem that perfectly blends ancient history and modern charm, making it one of my favorite spots in the Chianti region. Imagine strolling from the fascinating Necropolis, where echoes of Etruscan civilization whisper their secrets, to the vibrant Acropolis—or as we know it today, the heart of Castellina's hilltop community.

The village is a feast for the senses, with cobblestone streets that invite leisurely exploration and artisan shops brimming with handmade treasures. From unique ceramics to local delicacies, each corner reveals a story, and every artisan I meet adds a personal touch to the experience.

Whether you're soaking in the breathtaking views of rolling vineyards, enjoying a leisurely lunch at a quaint café, or chatting with the locals about their craft and heritage, Castellina offers a perfect blend of history, beauty, and warmth. It’s a place where the past and present coexist beautifully, creating a magical experience every time you visit.
