Itinerary Classico Grand Cru
Chianti Classico, located just south of Florence, is one of Italy’s most exceptional wine regions. Renowned for its beautiful, traditional wines as well as its outstanding Super Tuscans, it is a place where history, innovation, and passion converge. The region is divided into 11 official “cru zones,” each with its own unique expression of this legendary terroir.
On this exclusive Elite experience, we’ll visit three remarkable wineries distinguished for their innovative winemaking and internationally acclaimed, world-class wines.
We depart from our Florence office at 8:45 AM (please arrive a little early for check-in and to use the bathroom facilities). A good breakfast is recommended before beginning your wine journey, as we’ll be visiting two wineries before lunch. Be sure to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day—it can be easily refilled during the trip.
Weather permitting, we’ll make a scenic stop to admire the enchanting Abbey of Passignano, framed by the surrounding Antinori vineyards, before continuing to our first winery. Here, you’ll enjoy a curated tasting of some of Chianti Classico’s finest crus and gain valuable insight into the meticulous winemaking process and the dedication behind every bottle.
Our second winery offers a truly unique experience, aging its wines beneath an ancient church and overlooking the panoramic Panzano valley. Tastings are accompanied by light snacks and take place within an elegant villa, providing an intimate setting perfect for wine lovers.
Lunch will be at one of our favorite panoramic restaurants, featuring a selection of appetizers, homemade pasta dishes, and a delicious dessert. The meal is paired with wines from one of the highest-altitude vineyards in Chianti Classico, showcasing the extraordinary diversity of the region’s crus.
In the afternoon, we’ll visit one final outstanding winery for another memorable tasting before heading back to Florence, arriving in the early evening.
