Itinerary Carmignano
Carmignano is the name of Tuscany’s smallest and possibly oldest wine region. The Medici family left an indelible mark in the area by constructing several majestic Renaissance villas and, reportedly, introducing Cabernet.
On our journey we will swing by one of the historical Medici villas. The first family-owned winery practices biodynamic farming and produces delightful wines. We’ll delve into the intricacies of organic viticulture and hear captivating stories about local traditions.
The second family-owned winery, although the largest in the region, maintains its commitment to organic practices and crafts a diverse array of wines. We'll indulge in a delectable wine-pairing lunch, followed by a visit to the impressive historical cellars to learn about Vin Santo. Additionally, we'll explore the olive press, gaining insight into the art of producing exceptional olive oil in Tuscany.
