Contrary to other regions, in Valpolicella the first grapes harvested are for the important wines (Amarone & Recioto). The best grapes are selected and put to dry for 3 months to concentrate the flavors. This process results in a wine of a deep red color with intense notes of mature dark fruits, cocoa and tar. The taste is well-balanced, soft, with a warm mineral finish.
