Monday (day 1)
FROM SAN GIMIGNANO TO CHIANTI CLASSICO
We start at the Grape Tours office in the heart of Florence, where your Tuscan adventure begins. Awaiting you is a day filled with vineyard vistas, and wine from the crisp whites of San Gimignano to the delicious reds of Chianti Classico. As the afternoon unfolds, set course for the charming town of Montepulciano where you'll check in and prepare for an immersive evening.
We check into our countryside relais with the opportunity of enjoying the golden hour overlooking Montepulciano. A gourmet meal awaits us in the local restaurant and the evening unfolds with lovely food, wine & company.
Tuesday (day 2)
OVER PIENZA & MONTALCINO
Explore the ancient wine cellars of a winery in Montepulciano, where time seems to stand still. Sample the robust wines that characterize this region, tasting the essence of Montepulciano's winemaking heritage.
Embark on a picturesque drive to the enchanting village of Pienza. Discover the cultural and historical richness that defines this village, known for its Renaissance architecture.
Immerse yourself in a farm-to-table experience, a true celebration of local gastronomy.
Arrive in Montalcino, renowned for its exquisite Brunello wines. Explore a distinguished winery, learning about the meticulous winemaking process. Sample the rich flavors and complexities of Brunello
Check into a charming B&B in Montalcino and savor the evening in Montalcino when the crowds are gone and the streets return to their medieval magic.
Wednesday (day 3)
PITIGLIANO & MAGLIANO IN TOSCANA
After breakfast we head south of Monte Amiata and visit a remarkable wine producer and experience the unique terroir of tuff that gives life to a very special grape variety.
Then enjoy the southern Tuscan cuisine at a local Slow Food listed agriturismo.
Stroll through the charming village of Pitigliano that offers a unique blend of history, architecture, and local charm.
As the day transitions to evening, relax at our countryside wine relais. Indulge in a delectable dinner, featuring locally inspired dishes paired with exquisite wines of the winery.
Thursday (day 4)
THE ETRUSCAN COAST & BOLGHERI BLISS
The journey along the coast promises breathtaking views and a glimpse of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Discover the innovations of Tuscan winemaking with a visit to a modern winery. Taste the fruits of modern viticulture, experiencing a unique blend of tradition and innovation.
Indulge in a delicious local lunch at the beach, savoring the flavors of coastal Tuscan cuisine.
After lunch, continue the journey to Bolgheri, a charming region known for its vineyards and cypress-lined avenues.
Meet with a local chef and learn the art of crafting a full Tuscan dinner. Savor the dishes you've prepared, complemented by local wines.
Friday (day 5)
FROM BOLGHERI BACK TO FLORENCE
Delve into the world of Bolgheri's prestigious wines with a visit to one of the region's iconic wineries and learn how Bolgheri has become world famous. Then explore the charming Bolgheri village.
Indulge in a delicious Tuscan lunch where Sassicaia was born, and where the flavors of the region come to life through a delicious tasting menu.
As you reach Florence in the late afternoon, your paths will split, marking the end of a wholehearted and enriching trip through the highlights of Tuscany. Cherish the memories of the vineyards, the charming villages, and the warmth of Tuscan hospitality.
