The winery:
Montevetrano was founded by a group of friends in the 80'ies (among which the now famous winemaker Cotarella) to create one of the first exceptional wines of southern Italy that had alwasy fallen under a certain exploitation for its sugary fruit by northern wine producers.
 
The wine:
Set out for success vineyards were grown with both international and the native grape Aglianico, to achieve a Super Campania wine - a blend of Bordeaux and another maritime area but South of Bolgheri that was already well on its way to international fame in the 80'ies.
