Pinot Noir in Mugello Private Tour

Tucked into the northern reaches of Tuscany, where the refreshing slopes of the Apennine Mountains begin to rise, lies a distinctive wine region known for its small, passionate producers. Here, in an unexpected twist of terroir, Italian winemakers have embraced Burgundian varietals—Pinot Noir (Pinot Nero) and Chardonnay—with remarkable success.

We’ll delve into the elegance of Pinot Noir at two standout wineries, each offering a different expression of the grape. From vibrant, fruit-forward styles to more structured, earthy interpretations, these wines reflect a local flair shaped by the unique microclimate and soil. The result is a distinctly floral and refined take on these classic French grapes—through an unmistakably Italian lens.

Our journey continues to a mountain dairy farm, where cows graze freely on highland pastures. You’ll sample four artisanal cheeses, each telling a story of the land and craft, accompanied by a selection of cold cuts and a glass of regional wine.

Lunch will be à la carte at a beloved, family-run trattoria, renowned in the area for its silky handmade pastas and melt-in-your-mouth prosciutto.

To round out the day, we’ll visit the charming, lesser-known village of Scarperia—famous for its master craftsmen who create finely honed knives and traditional Italian wares by hand.
