Booking info

Ready to book your wine tour?

  • Payment is required at the moment of booking. Once payment has gone through you will receive a booking confirmation by email from our system confirming all the details.

  • There's a link to Grape Tours' cancellation policy on the Terms & Conditions. You can forego the cancellation policy by purchasing a 15 euro cancellation insurance that will guarantee you a full refund up to 24 hrs before the tour start.

  • Should we not reach a minimum number of participants for a tour, we will contact you ahead of time to give you notice, offer an alternative solution if available, or refund you (of course, you get to choose which it will be).

  • We recommend booking well in advance so we have a chance of planning ahead. When a booking comes at the very last minute, we will get back to you in case it will not be possible for us to run the tour.

  • If the tour you would like to book shows a waitlist, you can sign up for it and get notified if seats open up. We still recommend booking your second choice, and then if spots open on the first choice a change can easily be made without extra fees (except if there's a cost difference between the two tours).

  • We offer GIFT VOUCHERS! You can gift a tour and the voucher will be valid for the next 3 years! See more here.

ABOUT THE MEETING PLACE & TIME:

All of the day tours start from our Grape Tours office in downtown Florence (address: Via dei Renai 19 - google map Grape Tours in Tuscany) where you can check in around 10 minutes prior to your tour start (time of your tour on your confirmation voucher email). The meeting point is just 5 minutes walk from the old bridge, Ponte Vecchio, and it's possible to reach on foot from anywhere in central Florence.

In Via dei Renai 19 you will see the sign "Formaggioteca Terroir" which is our Cheese & Wine Bar/Shop. You are also very welcome to visit after your tour to sip an extra glass of wine and check out some of the delicious traditional products we have, or ship wines home.

  • Itinerary Super Chianti
Super Chianti is an amazing day trip that takes you from Florence into the super picturesque and delicious Chianti & Chianti Classico regions. We meet at the Grape Tours office where you will check in and get ready for the tour. After just half an hour's ride, we reach the beautiful Chianti region and kick off the day at an old Tuscan farmhouse winery and learn about the grape-to-bottle process. Once we've covered every aspect of the winemaking, we sit down to taste 4 beautiful wines accompanied by fresh olive oil and sheep's milk cheeses made at the winery's own dairy farm. Our next stop is in Panzano in Chianti at the notorious butcher Dario Cecchini. We'll enjoy a delicious lunch featuring four meat dishes inspired by Dario's family recipes and a taste of the famous Bistecca alla Fiorentina. After lunch, continue to the next winery where we will be treated to a private tour and learn about the traditions of the oldest wine region of the world!
