Saturday, September 6 - 2025 (day 1)


If you arrive at the Porto Airport on this day, we will arrange for a private transfer and you will settle in at your 4-Star central hotel in Porto. Explore the vibrant streets of Porto at your own pace and enjoy the rich tapestry of this enchanting city.

In the late afternoon gather in the hotel lobby to meet Portugal wine expert, Ryan Opaz, co-author of Foot Trodden.

Experience the rich history and culture of Port at an independent family-owned business since 1918. Enjoy a private visit to their cellars, immersing yourself in the unforgettable aroma of a Port Wine Cellar. Learn about the intricate process of winemaking and the history of Port wine. Conclude the visit with a premium tasting of Tawny Port in their newly built tasting room and a lovely welcome dinner.

Sunday, September 7 - 2025 (day 2)


Check out of Porto and embark on a scenic ride. Dive into the fascinating world of Vinho Verde wines with a visit to a prestigious winery. Enjoy a premium wine tasting paired with a sumptuous lunch featuring a pre-set menu perfectly complemented by the finest regional wines.

Then head towards the legendary Douro Valley and arrive at your luxurious 5-star Quinta nestled in the heart of the Douro Valley.

Before dinner, perhaps enjoy a glass of local wine and take a stroll through the picturesque grounds of your quintessential picturesque retreat.

Monday, September 8 - 2025 (day 3)


Embark on a unique culinary journey as you join the Countess at Viscondes da Varzea for an exclusive cooking class. This experience transcends beyond the kitchen, offering insights into Portuguese history and culture.

After a delicious lunch, immerse yourself in the timeless beauty of the Douro River with a private cruise on a traditional Rabelo boat. Relax on the majestic wooden sailboat as you meander through the winding river, surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of terraced vineyards whilst sipping on refreshing drinks. As the sun sets over the Douro Valley, gather for a memorable dinner in a charming local restaurant. 

Tuesday, September 9 - 2025 (day 4)


Visit a family-owned winery in a picturesque town where one of the family members will personally guide us on a leisurely walking tour through their undulating vineyards. Learn about the rich history of the region before indulging in an intimate wine-tasting session courtesy of this new generation of small family wineries in the Douro.

Journey to a Quinta for a unique grape stomping experience (conditioned to the harvest stage at the moment of the visit). Feel the grapes beneath your feet and engage in the age-old winemaking tradition.

Gather at a private outside venue (weather permitting) or at a charming restaurant for a BBQ dinner infused with the flavors of the Douro. Savor a delightful array of dishes prepared with local ingredients, expertly paired with regional wines.

Wednesday, September 10 - 2025 (day 5)


Bid farewell to the Douro Valley as you embark on a scenic journey towards the Dão Wine Region.

Arrive at an exceptional winery, a testament to the harmonious coexistence of vineyards with the surrounding wild forest, and enjoy a unique wine-tasting experience followed by a delightful lunch that complements the flavors of the region.

Board the comfortable bus for a leisurely transfer back to Porto where comfort awaits at the 4-star hotel. Refresh and unwind before venturing into the vibrant city for an evening at leisure. Discover the city's charming streets and let the night unfold as you desire.

Thursday, September 11 - 2025 (day 6)


Put on your comfortable walking shoes and embark on a culinary exploration of Porto's rich gastronomic scene. Your private walking food tour will take you to several tasting locations, where you'll indulge in ten traditional and iconic Portuguese foods. Delight your taste buds while learning about the families and history behind each restaurant, cafe, and specialty food shop.

Spend the afternoon on your own, walking the charming streets of Porto, doing some shopping or relaxing back at the hotel.

Conclude your culinary journey with a spectacular farewell dinner. Indulge in divinely fresh fish, including trays of cod, sole, sea bass, crabs, shrimp, and goose barnacles. The outstanding service and exquisite offerings make it a true food lover's dream
