Fattoria Corzano & Paterno
CHIANTI
Hidden among the peaceful hills of San Casciano Val di Pesa, Corzano & Paterno is one of Tuscany's finest examples of a true mixed farm, where wine, cheese and olive oil are produced with equal passion and uncompromising quality. Named after the two hills that embrace the estate, the farm has been owned and lovingly managed by the Goldschmidt family for generations, with different family members dedicated to every aspect of its production.
Certified organic throughout, Corzano & Paterno follows a holistic approach to agriculture, where vineyards, olive groves and sheep coexist in harmony. Around 700 sheep graze the surrounding pastures, providing the milk for the estate's exceptional pecorino cheeses, while the olive groves produce award-winning extra virgin olive oils, including beautifully expressive single-varietal bottlings. Every product reflects the family's philosophy that outstanding quality begins in the field.
The winery is equally impressive. Alongside elegant, terroir-driven Chianti wines, the estate produces crisp whites, refreshing rosés and a small collection of outstanding Super Tuscans, including both a pure Sangiovese and a Cabernet Sauvignon blend. The wines are crafted with restraint and precision, allowing the character of the fruit and the unique terroir of Chianti to take centre stage.
No visit to Corzano & Paterno would be complete without discovering its celebrated cheeses. From delicate fresh cheeses made daily to beautifully aged pecorino matured throughout the year, the dairy has earned an outstanding reputation among Florence's finest restaurants. Combined with the estate's acclaimed wines and exceptional olive oils, a visit offers a true taste of Tuscany, where every product tells the story of a family deeply connected to the land and dedicated to preserving its traditions.
