Winery:
Le Berne is a small family-owned winery in the area of Cervognano in Montepulciano with only 10 hectares of vineyard circled around the winery. All harvesting is done manually, and wines are only made with propriety grapes originating from the family's own vineyards.
 
Wine:
Prugnolo gentile is what the Sangiovese grape is referred to in the region of Montepulciano in southern Tuscany. The grapes come from the older vines and after fermentation, the wine stays in big casks for at least 24 months. The result in the bottle is wines that respect the tradition in Montepulciano and that tell a unique story of a unique place.
