The winery:
Villa Calcinaia is a historical property just outside of Greve in Chianti that has been making wine for a long time. They have been working organically since 1992 under the guidance of Sebastiano Capponi who's greatly invested in the organic aspects of his farm and also in using native grape varieties
 
This wine:
This Chianti Classico Riserva is the best selection of grapes from the entire vintage. The wine is aged for a long time in oak barrels of smaller sizes to allow a great structure for future ageing in the bottle. It is made by Villa Calcinaia outside of Greve in Chianti from Sangiovese grapes. This wine is great to age because of its full body and intense flavors, but is of course great to drink straight away.
