We meet at our Grape Tours office in central Florence at 8 am and we head towards Umbria stopping in the first of Umbria's two DOCG wine regions, Torgiano. We will taste our first wines and hear how Lungarotti started in this region. We then head to visit two wineries that produce delicious Sagrantino wines, one large and famous, the other small and boutique.

That evening we stay in Montefalco village, in the center of Umbria, and have a lovely dinner featuring the specialties of the region.

Tuesday,  June 25 - 2024

We travel further into Umbria and stop in picturesque villages Spello & Spoleto where we will stroll, and then we head into the mountains close to Norcia with lunch in a local restaurant in a quaint village along the way.

We arrive in Norcia, famous for Prosciutto and black truffles and settle into our countryside residence.

Drinks on the patio overlooking the beautiful valley and dinner will feature delicious local foods and wines.

We have a little time to explore Norcia, famous for some of the best Prosciutto in Italy before we head over the mountains. We head up the Apennines and reach Castelluccio, paradise on earth - a completely unthinkable valley area high up in the mountains where flowers bloom into patchworks of colours.

Gourmet lunch in a hidden gem!

In the evening we will be in Le Marche in the area of Piceno in a gorgeous winery relais where we will enjoy a light dinner with wines.

Thursday, June 27 - 2024

After breakfast and a morning stroll around Ascoli Piceno we head towards Abruzzo. We will eat traditional foods at a local restaurant before heading to the mythical Emidio Pepe winery, with a visit to the amazing cellars.

Offida will be on our way back and we will then visit the Cocci Grifoni winery where we will have a lovely dinner and try the Pecorino & Passerina varietals.

We head towards the seaside to discover a region in Le Marche quite famous for red wines, Conero. It's a beautiful coastal region, right by the industrious port of Ancona. We'll tour the region with a lovely winery visit followed by lunch on the beach.

We check into our hotel and enjoy a last lovely meal together.
