a Grapetrotters Adventure in September 2024

Veneto stands as the largest wine-producing region in Italy, renowned for crafting exceptional red and white wines. Immerse yourself in our small-group tour, where we'll reside in quaint countryside accommodations and explore regions ranging from Bardolino and Amarone to Soave and Prosecco.

Sunday, September 8 - 2024

Gather in the morning at 10 am in Verona to embark on our wine tour by Lake Garda, enveloped by several wine regions boasting some of Italy's finest whites and excellent rosés. Following visits to a few wineries and a light lunch, our journey continues to a charming wine resort where we'll unwind for the initial three nights. Join us for a welcome dinner, savoring delightful regional cuisines and wines, before a peaceful night's rest in the serene countryside.

Monday, September 9 - 2024

Today, we explore two of Italy's most traditional and renowned white wine regions, both centered around the noble Garganega grape. Dive into the distinctions between these two areas and indulge in a delectable slow-food-style lunch.

As the day concludes, a light picnic-style dinner, complemented by fine wines, will be arranged for your enjoyment.

Tuesday, September 10 - 2024

The entire day is dedicated to the captivating region of Valpolicella, renowned for producing one of Italy's most full-bodied wines, Amarone della Valpolicella. Our itinerary includes visits to two wineries, complete with vineyard tours to acquaint ourselves with the local grape varieties and their cultivation techniques. A delightful 3-course lunch awaits us in a countryside restaurant, accompanied by additional wines.

As the day draws to a close, a light picnic-style dinner, complemented by wine, will be provided for your enjoyment.

Wednesday, September 11 - 2024

We proceed with check-out and set off for Breganze, where a visit to the renowned Maculan winery awaits us. Following that, we venture into the foothills of the Alps, arriving in Asiago to delve into the world of this exceptional Italian cheese.

By evening, we will reach our panoramic residence nestled in the hills of Conegliano-Valdobbiadene, the historical epicenter of Prosecco. A delightful dinner at one of the local trattorias will conclude our day.

Thursday, September 12 - 2024

Valdobbiadene is a picturesque region to establish our base, offering not only scenic beauty but also producing delectable wines and delightful cuisine. Our day will be dedicated to exploring small wineries renowned for crafting the finest Proseccos, providing a comprehensive overview of the area and its wine production. We'll indulge in tastings of various styles, ensuring you gain a thorough understanding of Italy's most famous sparkling wine region.
