Veneto is the biggest wine-producing area of Italy and makes fantastic red and white wines.

Join us in this small-group tour, staying at small countryside residences and tour regions from Bardolino, and Amarone to Soave & Prosecco.

Sunday, September 8 - 2024

From Verona to wine country

 

We meet in the early afternoon in Verona and head for the winery resort where we will spend two nights. We’ll have a welcome dinner together enjoying some of the delightful regional foods and wines and have a good night’s rest in the quiet countryside.

Monday, September 9 - 2024

Bardolino & Lake Garda

 

We start with the gorgeous Lake Garda and the Bardolino wine region. We'll discover its light reds, roses, and whites of Custoza with a local vintner who will teach us the ins and outs of the area. We will also have time to enjoy a lovely 3-course lunch by the lake and explore one of the lovely villages.

Light picnic-style dinner with wine will be provided for.

Tuesday, September 10 - 2024

Valpollicella 

The day is entirely dedicated to the fascinating area of Valpolicella that is famous for making one of Italy's most full-bodied wines, Amarone della Valpolicella. We'll visit two wineries with tours of the vineyards to get to know the local grape varieties and how they are grown. We'll be eating a delicious 3-course lunch in a countryside restaurant, with more wines. 

Light picnic-style dinner with wine will be provided for.

Wednesday, September 11 - 2024

Soave & Maculan

 

After the morning departure, we visit the Soave region with the famous Pieropan winery. We will learn all about the well-known whites of Italy that eastern Italy is famous for. After lunch Slow Food style, we head further north and visit the Maculan winery that makes one of Italy's best dessert wines.

Before evening we'll reach our panoramic B&B in the hills of Conegliano-Valdobbiadene, the historical heart of Prosecco.

Light picnic-style dinner with wine will be provided for.

Thursday, September 12 - 2024

Valdobbiadene wine touring

This a beautiful region to be based in and furthermore, it makes some delicious wines and great food. We'll spend the day visiting small wineries that make the best Proseccos to get a full overview of the area and its wine production. We'll taste different styles so you'll know all there is to know about Italy's most famous sparkling wine region. 

We'll have a delicious lunch accompanied by more bubbles and a farewell dinner to wrap up our Veneto week.

Friday, September 13 - 2024

Departure

 

Departure after breakfast with drop-off back in Verona (train station).

Airport
The nearest bigger airports are Milan, Bergamo or Venice. Great train connections to/from Verona.​

Meeting
In central Verona (to be determined) at 3 pm.

Drop-off also in Verona at the end of the tour. From Verona you have connecting trains to all major cities (Venice, Milan, etc)
