a Grapetrotters Adventure in April

Come explore Tuscany off the beaten track! On this trip reserved for max 8 people, we will head for smaller villages, family-owned wineries, and cheese-makers, olive oil producers and hit some of the lesser-known regions around Tuscany. We will taste lovely local foods and explore new grape varieties. We will meet the colorful locals, stay at vineyards, cook with a pro, and much more...

Monday, April 15 - 2024 (day 1)



We meet at our Grape Tours office in central Florence at 8 am and we drive through Chianti Classico and stop at a small winery close to the birthplace, Castello di Brolio of Tuscany's most iconic wines. We have lunch overlooking the castle.

After lunch, we head for Montepulciano where we will spend the night. We will check in and go on a wine tour inside one of Montepulciano's old wine cellars.

Dinner in town at one of the local eateries.

Tuesday,  April 16 - 2024 (day 2)


Our first stop will be in Pienza to walk the charming little village and enjoy the little shops and vistas that it offers.

We will enjoy great lunch at a cheese farm and after lunch, we head through the famous Val d'Orcia landscape and visit a winery in Montalcino.

We check into our B&B before dinner and enjoy an evening of good food & relax.

Wednesday, April 17 - 2024 (day 3)


We visit an incredible olive oil producer and then head to southern Tuscany boasts incredible villages and landscapes that fly under the radar because difficult to access. We will explore the area and visit a wonderful wine producer. 

We will walk the villages and enjoy a great meal at the countryside wine relais where we will be spending the evening.

Thursday, April 18 - 2024 (day 4)


After breakfast, we drive north up the Tuscan coast where we visit a modern winery. After a delicious local lunch, we drive to Bolgheri where we check into our countryside residence.

That afternoon we will meet with our local chef and you can learn to cook a full Tuscan dinner. There's also a chance to go for a walk around the vineyards and relax with a glass of wine in the garden.

Friday, April 19 - 2024 (day 5)


We visit Bolgheri village and one of the iconic wineries of this prestigious region. We will then enjoy a great Tuscan lunch and one of its most celebrated wines!

By evening we will reach Florence where our paths will split after a wholehearted full trip including excellent highlights of Tuscany.
