Tucked away in the South of Tuscany lies Montalcino on the top of a hill overlooking the Val d'Orcia. This is the unique place where around 200 wineries grow pure Sangiovese and craft wines that after 5 years of aging can be called Brunello.

Super Tuscans & Steak

Visit two wineries famed for Super Tuscan style wines and enjoy a great tasting. Have lunch with Florentine Tbone steak at Dario Cecchini's famed restaurant in Panzano in Chianti.

This is a great tour if you love big bold red wines and a big juicy steak, obviously.

Counting no more than 15 wineries, this is the smallest DOCG wine region in Tuscany and surely one of the most historical. Treasured by the Etruscans and developed by the Medici family themselves, this area is a true hidden gem for those who love wine and history.

Is the name of the other hilltop town in the South of Tuscany which since many centuries makes a noble wine from its Sangiovese grapes. First aged inside old cellars inside the medieval city walls, the area now counts around 80 lovely wineries around the hill.

San Gimignano, the Manhattan of Tuscany, is not only a must-see medieval village but also an area home to Tuscany's only DOCG white wine. The Vernaccia di San Gimignano is made by around 70 wineries and only here, due to the unique conditions in the area.

Bolgheri is a newly developed region on the coast, a 2 hr ride from Florence. Starting with Sassicaia in the 60'ies the region is now home to 55 modern wineries most of whom have adopted French grape varieties, typically making Bordeaux blends with a Tuscan twist.
