Week-end Grape Escape to San Gimignano & Chianti Classico
Itinerary
Day 1
During our first day we will explore the Val d'Elsa including the beautiful San Gimignano and its delicious flavors ranging from the white Vernaccia di San Gimignano wines and the more innovative reds.
We'll walk around San Gimignano's medieval streets and hit the best spots for some amazing views.
Driving through Colle di Val d'Elsa we'll get to Monteriggioni and enjoy a lovely lunch here in the foothills of the Chianti Classico. We'll visit a winery in Castellina in Chianti before proceeding to the charming B&B that will be our peaceful dwellings for the evening. It'll be located close to an eatery should you feel like enjoying a meal "al fresco" - or you can dine on a bottle of wine and some charcuterie or cheese you may have purchased during the day's trip.
Day 2
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and take a little walk in the vineyards. We'll pick you up and take you a day trip discovering the Chianti Classico in detail. We'll visit a couple of delightful wineries and enjoy a great lunch together in one of the many great eateries around. We'll show you the best spots for taking beautiful pictures and really get into the Chianti spirit.
Towards the end of the day we'll get you back into Florence where you can continue your journey.

● Stop at 4 different wineries with tastings (at least 1 with a cellar tour)

THE ACCOMMODATION: We work with several B&Bs and winery farmhouses that we will choose from according to availability. We guarantee you a good standard, clean rooms with private bathrooms and heating/air-conditioning.
