6. Taste of Tuscany Tour

The Tuscan Wine Society proposes this trip either privately or as a mixed group wine excursion on Mondays with departure from Florence at 9 am.

During this day we'll go on the discovery of the gastronomic delights of Tuscany. The area visited is to the South of Florence (North of Siena)and the tour will include a quick stop in the town of San Gimignano, famous for Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG wine and Saffron of San Gimignano DOP.

We will be going to an artisan chocolate maker to see the facilities and enjoy a tasting of different intensities of chocolate and typical Sienese Panforte cake.

Then it will be time to taste some typical cheeses of the area - the pecorino cheeses that come in many different ways and shapes.

It will also be possible to taste aged balsamic vinegars and Tuscan olive oils.
Lunch will be typical and served in one of the farms or in a typical restaurant. Tasting of saffron of San Gimignano

Of course, there will also be a visit to a small organic winery with a tour of the vineyards, the cellars and tasting of several wines from the area.

Return to Florence at approx. 5/6 p.m.

This cultural experience is available Mondays as a joinable excursion.

It can also be organized on other days privately - according to the availability of the associated farms.
